Skilled – Independent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 175)
Applicants are not sponsored and must pass a points test. The current pass mark is 120 points and applicants must meet basic Australian visa requirements such as age, health and character, language, recent work experience and nominating an occupation from the current Skilled Occupations List (SOL). you must also hold a positive skills assessment before lodgement. Skilled – Sponsored (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 176)
A permanent visa for people who do not meet the Skilled Independent pass mark. The current pass mark for this category is 100 points. Applicants must be either sponsored by an eligible relative living in Australia or nominated by a participating State or Territory government. Please note that under current Australian visa processing priority order, those applicants who have applied for residency and who have been sponsored by a participating State under State Migration Plans will receive much faster processing. Employer Nomination Scheme (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 121/856)
The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) enables employers to sponsor highly skilled workers to fill skilled vacancies in their business. Skilled workers can be recruited either from overseas, or from people temporarily in Australia. Employers must be lawfully operating in Australia, and the position must provide full time employment in Australia for at least three years and meet the Minimum Salary Level.
